To celebrate the 25th year of Power Rangers we saw an epic team-up that featured Rangers spanning from different seasons to once again harness the power and it looks like the Christmas episode will bring back one of those past Rangers. One thing that many fans were clamoring for was nod or at least interaction between Koda from Dino Charge and Preston from Ninja Steel played be Yoshi and Peter Sudarso. Many, including us, thought it was a missed opportunity.

Well, fear not. It looks like we’ll get out team-up after all. This year’s Christmas special titled “The Poisy Show”, will feature a team-up of the Sudarso brothers or the Brother’s Blue. We can also expect to see Dino Charge villain Poisandra make her return to the show also. We assume this episode was shot when Yoshi Sudarso was back in New Zealand to film Dimensions In Danger, the 25th anniversary episode which saw Koda’s return. Below is the official synopsis for the episode:

The Rangers look to celebrate Christmas but find their holiday cheer interrupted by an old foe.

In the past, fans have criticized the show for weak Christmas episodes or just phoning in the specials with clip shows, but on paper, this sounds like it could be one of the best Christmas specials to date. Using Yoshi Sudarso for the Christmas special is a great move in the right direction for the franchise. Hopefully we get more of the same in Beast Morphers next year. The Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Christmas special airs on December 1st, 2018.
