Titans is the flagship drama for the new DC Universe streaming service.  It is a live-action show featuring the characters from the Teen Titans comic books. Titans premieres on October 12.  So, to build even more excitement for the series, Warner Bros Television has released a new set of photos from the DC original series. Plus, a picture of the core team from Entertainment Weekly.

The images from the pilot episode heavily feature stars Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, and Anna Diop.  Thwaites plays Richard “Dick” Grayson, who is secretly the vigilante known as Robin.  Dick is a former circus performer whose parents were murdered when he was still young.  He was taken in by Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, and trained to fight crime by the caped crusader.  Now, Dick is a police detective and wants to step out of his mentor’s shadow by leading the Titans.

Teagan Croft plays Rachel Roth, aka Raven.  She is a young mystic whose powers are driven by her emotions.  Raven is the daughter of a demon but joins the Titans to forge a different path away from her dark origins.

Anna Diop plays Koriand’r, aka Starfire.  She is an alien princess who is looking for safety on Earth.  Starfire is extremely powerful and a helpful addition to the Titans.  Her television appearance does not have the alien green eyes and bright orange skin of her comic book counterpart.

Missing from the photos is Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan, aka Beast Boy.  Gar was cured from a lethal disease from an experimental drug.  The side effects gave him the power to shapeshift into any animal but also changed his hair and skin green.  Beast Boy will likely have a larger role in following episodes.

Other recurring characters include Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall, the hot-headed superhero known as Hawk.  Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, aka Dove.  She is the strategic and defensive partner to Hawk’s brute force.  And Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach, police detective Dick Grayson’s new partner.

Titans premieres on October 12, 2018 exclusively on DC Universe.
