With early reviews being mixed, especially with critics It looks like the only thing that critics did love was Donald Glovers performance of Lando Calrissian. Looks like head of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy is quite fond of Lando and thinks he should have his own stand alone film. While promoting the screening of Solo: A STAR WARS STORY at the Cannes film festival yesterday Kennedy made the announcement.

“We think that the next spinoff will be dedicated to Lando Calrissian,” Kathleen Kennedy said. “Of course, there are still many stories to tell about Han and Chewbacca, but Lando will be next. “

Now she of course this isn’t official but knowing Kennedy she will get what she wants. Early reviews from us over here at That Hashtag Show raved about Lando and said Glover hands down steals the show. And to be honest he’s the best thing that came out of the early trailers and all fingers pointed to him being a bigger part of the film.

Now what era of Lando would we be getting? Would we get Lando before he met Han Solo? Or better yet would we be getting Lando taking charge of Bespin and how he became friends with LOBOT? We can never have to much LOBOT! We’ll just have to wait two or three years to see what happens with Lando. Although I really hope we finally get that Obi-Wan Kenobi stand alone film that we really want damnit. Until then you can get your fill of Lando Calrissian when the new SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY releases next week!
