Marvel Studio’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to release on July 2nd. This film obviously takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. In it, fans will witness Peter Parker sadly deal with the aftermath of Tony’s passing. Of course we’ll likewise be treated to Mysterio on screen. One of the biggest things to remember, however, is that thanks to the events of Endgame, the we now also have a MCU Multiverse.
And no, we’re not talking about this multiverse. More so, we’re talking about the bigger, broader MCU Multiverse. There’s no question that the events of both Infinity War and Endgame affected the MCU. It seems we’ll learn more in Spider-Man: Far From Home. But….
Who created the MCU Multiverse, Thanso, Hulk… or Tony Stark?
The one thing we don’t know is this: which snap created the MCU Multiverse? We do know that Thanos intentionally wipe out half the universe with the first snap. Hulk then snapped a second time and resurrected everyone Thanos murdered. And lastly, Tony snapped a third time, sacrificing himself to wipe out Thanos for good.
Thanks to Tom Holland, we now know which of those snaps created the MCU Multiverse, as well as some new details for the movie.
During a recent interview, Tom Holland had revealed this:
Mysterio in this movie is actually my new best friend. We team up together to fight these Elemental creatures because when Thanos snapped his fingers, these creatures came through the dimensional rift.
So now we know that Thanos is responsible for the MCU Multiverse. But… The story that Quentin Beck is trying to spin to Spider-Man could be a total misdirect.
Remember, the MUC is no stranger to misdirection. First there was Iron Man III, with The Mandarin. More recently we had Captain Marvel and the the Skrulls. So who knows if what Beck is saying is MCU misdirection or misdirect or not….
Marvel Comics and film fans alike are hoping to see more about the MCU Multiverse. Hopefully Spider-Man: Far From Home can deliver.
