The CW is starting a new chapter in Greg Berlanti’s ongoing Arrowverse franchise. The new phase begins with the upcoming Batwoman series, starring Ruby Rose. After ordering the show to series last week, the network finally released the extended trailer for the pilot that will air sometime this fall.

No premiere date has yet been set yet. However, the CW did reveal today at the Upfronts that Batwoman will be airing on Sundays at 8/7c. Supergirl will now be airing at 9/8c, making this Sunday night pair-up into a literal World’s Finest. In addition to the trailer, which you can catch below, the CW also released a preview clip. In it we see Rose’s Kate Kane with Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, son of Lucius Fox.

Along with Rose and Johnson, the series also stars Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore. Joining them is Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton and Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane. The CW also revealed two new photos from the pilot, including our first look at Batman’s suit in the Arrowverse. Will he show up? At least not for the time being. He has been missing for over three years, hence why Kate becomes Batwoman.

Synopsis For Batwoman

Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) never planned to be Gotham’s new vigilante. Three years after Batman mysteriously disappeared, Gotham is a city in despair. Without the Caped Crusader, the Gotham City Police Department was overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. During the CW Upfronts today, network president Mark Pedowitz did confirm that Batwoman will be taking part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. The crossover will be 5 hours long, which makes it the Arrowverse’s longest crossover of all time. The CW will likely reveal more details about the series at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Hopefully that will include information on Kate’s role in the crossover.
