2018 was a bad year for medical professionals, having to service so many gamers after Spider-Man,  Red Dead Redemption 2,and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.  It’s only recently that so many are just waking up; thumbs sore, eyes bloodshot, and looking towards the new year for the next playable plague to sweep the nation’s consoles.  This week we look at one of the major carriers of the next epidemic… the Xbox. Here is our list the most anticipated games that will  knock you out of life, love, and leaving the house till you’ve reached the 100% trophy.

Game Coma Severity: Low; originally thought be a harsh fever, has become a low chill due to various delays and early problems, but if this particular strain of virus is known to start weak, but then grow stronger with time.

Studio Wildcard made a huge dent in my medical bills with “ARK: Survival Evolved”, and it seemed like Atlas was ready to burn away many hours of my time… until delays and other projects were released seemingly unfinished. Granted, these games became dangerous infections with time… but I’m not going to be first in line for this come December 19th.

“KINGDOM HEARTS III”

Game Coma Severity: Off the charts for some, but many others are immune.

 I know a lot of people who are crazed for Square Enix’s next Kingdom Hearts game.After playing it at E3, I was not one of them. I’ll get it at some point just to say I completed the series, but I’m not wasting any medications on January 29 to get there.

“CRACKDOWN3”

Game Coma Severity: Burns fast and hot, then clears

Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 already has my bedsores itching, I’m a huge fan of the series, but like Saint’s Row, these games tend to burn hot for a few days and then fade fast. I’ll be playing this when it drops on February 15th, but I’ll have moved on to a cold with more staying power shortly after.

Game Coma Severity: Possible pandemic level alert

Ubisoft shocked the hell out of a lot of people, including me, with this recent announcement and I’m all in! Seriously, did anyone else know this was coming?  Was it just me? A semi-post apocalyptic far-cry… YES, PLEASE!!! GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE on Feb 15th!

“METRO EXODUS”

Game Coma Severity: High; Looks like an intense start, but not an extended period in the ICU.

DeepSilver/4A brings us the sequel we never thought was happening, but so very glad it is. I’m huge fan of this seemingly ancient franchise- based on the novels I purchased, but never read. “It’s like Fallout, (sniff) but in Russia”, I was told by a stuffed-up Gamestop employee told me when I first purchased a used copy during the Obama administration. Scheduled for a Feb 15th, 2019 release, I intend to use a feeding-tube to play this game as much as possible for the week, because I’m about to need a infusion to stop me from playing…

“ANTHEM”

Game Coma Severity: Code Red; get the paddles when you need me for something, cause I’m so deep into this game, it’s gonna take Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts to get me out.

EA’s new shared world RPG…. Blah, blah, blah- we all know it’s Destiny with Iron Man Armor- AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT! In fact, it’s straight awesome!It’s like Feb 22nd is 2nd Christmas, cause it can’t come fast enough.

“DEVIL MAY CRY 5”

Game Coma Severity: Medium to fair; Like a familiar cold all your friends have passed around- you know what you’re getting and glad to be out of work… but it’s nothing for your mother to make soup over.

Capcom’s new entry in the series promises a lot of the same, and that’s perfectly great.Come March, 8th, I’ll red-box it, play it for a few days and return it satisfied and happy.

 “TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION 2”

Game Coma Severity: Fair; The first one was a sleeper virus that sweeped the region, and this looks to be more of the same.

Ubisoft’s next entry into Tommy Clan’s many games was a lot like the first, but better-something we verified at E3.  I liked it,I’ll play it on March 15th.  Nuff said.
