Jordan Peele’s reboot of The Twilight Zone is well into production of its first season, set to premiere on CBS All Access in 2019. The show will feature Peele in as the host, taking on the role previously filled by Rod Sterling in the original. One of the first episodes we learned about is a remake of ‘Nightmare At 40,000 Feet’ with Adam Scott taking on the character made famous by William Shatner.

As production has continued, John Cho, Allison Tolman, Sanaa Lathan, and Kumail Nanjiani were cast in various episodes as well. We’ve now learned that the show is currently filming its fourth episode titled ‘The Traveler’ (while it’s currently slated as the fourth episode, that could change)  which is a “Story of two cops and a mysterious traveler”.  The ‘Mysterious Traveler’ is being played by The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun. Production on the episode was scheduled to being on December 3rd and will run through December 18th.

The original Twilight Zone ran for five seasons and 156 episodes between 1959 and 1964. It was later revived in 1985 for a 3 season run and again in 2002 for a single season with Forest Whitaker as the host. The new series will be exclusive to CBS All Access which runs $5.99 a month for their ‘limited commercial’ plan or $9.99 a month for no commercials.

There’s no release date just yet, but make sure to keep following That Hashtag Show for the latest news as it comes out.
