The arrival of Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max is a pretty momentous occasion. Not only is it going to be what’s likely to be the first blockbuster film to come straight to streaming without a price tag attached, it’ll also be the first in 4K on HBO Max. The “new” video format is unparalleled right now, only being dwarfed by 8K. 4K is the new standard for high definition picture and audio quality. In addition to that format, it’ll have a Dolby Atmos audio track that’ll give you basically movie theater quality audio in your home.
So if you’re missing out on going to the theaters for Wonder Woman 1984, you’ll at least be getting it in the best possible quality. This high-quality viewing experience is available on a bunch of different streaming devices. Devices like: Apple TV 4K, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, and 4K Smart TVs. HBO Max is expanding this capability to other films and TV series as we move into 2021.
You can check out Wonder Woman 1984 when it releases on December 25th. It might just bring in a new era of simultaneous streaming and theater releases. It’s only available on HBO Max for a month to stream though, so make sure to watch it when you can.
