Darth Jar Jar, Jedi Master Vader, Jedi Bob, and Bounty Hunter Ewoks, if this sounds fun and exciting it is! As many of you know LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is here and it is shaking up the pieces of the Star Wars canon timeline as we know it. Starring Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker); This four-piece special is available now on Disney+. You can check out my thoughts on this series below.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

In “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy,” the entire Star Wars Galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – The Review

For those who have read my reviews, you know I like to keep them as simple and spoiler-free as possible. With that being said the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is what Star Wars fans needed to reset and rebuild (if needed) their love for Star Wars. I feel as if this series is one best multiverse stories out there. Why do I say that, well, the answer is simple, it is fun and entertaining. It doesn’t matter if you’re a kid or at the maximum LEGO building age you will enjoy it. The creators do a great job of giving us a Star Wars: What If…? series that has been in all of our heads while building LEGO sets or playing with toys. I know I’m not the only one who thought a TIE Fighter would look cool mixed with an X-Wing.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy focuses on a nerfherder named Sig Greebling, his brother Dev, their friend Yesi Scala, and Jedi Bob. Again I’m not going to go much into what happens but the the Star Wars canon world as we know it goes through a major “rebuild” and all the storylines change. From Darth Jar Jar to Jedi Master Darth Vader there are so many fun What If moments you will lose track.

What I liked most about this series is even though the canon world as we know it is shuffled up we still get a good Star Wars story out of it. The creative of Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit knocked it out of the park. They had it all in the series love, hope, and still believing there is some good in those that have fallen to the Dark Side. They also did a great job mixing characters throughout all the Star Wars timelines.

My Final Thoughts

Do yourself a favor, grab some blue milk, and watch LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. I loved every minute of it. This series was fun and gave us what our childhood and adult selves wanted, a Star Wars with no rules and could make anything we wanted. The cast was also amazing, Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker); all worked together well and brought the story to life. There are a few more voices you will recognize but I’ll leave that as a surprise for you. I give LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy an A+, it is a must-watch!
