Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas will continue to turn back the clock with repertory programming this summer. The theater chain recently acquired by Sony Pictures will launch its “1984 Time Capsule” film series in July and August.

The Time Capsule programming series highlights films from years gone by. Previous installments took film fans back to 1999, 1994, and 1989. Now, over 30 titles from 1984 will return to the big screen this summer. You can catch Nightmare on Elm Street, Purple Rain, The Neverending Story, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, The Terminator, and more. Check out the full list of features below.

1984 Time Capsule Features at Alamo Drafthouse

Beginning July 5th

RED DAWN 

A gripping tale of a group of teenagers defending their town from an invasion – a cornerstone of ’80s action cinema from director John Milius.
