At the Marvel Studios What If…? press junket, the creative team behind the show gave us details about the upcoming show. In the first episode of the series, we get the question of: What if Peggy Carter got the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers? The first episode answers that question pretty well and Brad Winderbaum, Producer for What If…? gave us a pretty solid answer about returning and new characters.
When asked about characters that could return for upcoming seasons and revisit stories, Brad made specific mention of Captain Carter. For seasons in the future, they’ll be able to revisit stories like this. So if you’re into Captain Carter and her special brand of kicking ass, you’re in luck for the future. He made mention of other characters that could return, but Captain Carter was the one that he specifically mentioned.
Marvel Studios’ What If…? is an animated show that tells us stories from the Marvel Multiverse that we have never seen before on the screen. It’s an inventive show that allows for stories that might not be possible in live-action to be told. Sharon Carter’s story is the first episode of the upcoming series that debuts on August 11th, 2021 on Disney+.
Hayley Atwell gives her voice for the character in the first episode of the series and it also includes Sebastian Stan and others.
The press junket for What If…? gave us more answers for the show and even offered more questions that just the titular one.
