Rambo: The Force of Freedom (1986)

You thought we were going to hit Rambo 3, but you can’t skip over Rambo: The Force of Freedom cartoon.  Sure, it only lasted one season, but the first 28seconds of the opening is basically an animated version of the First Blood Part II trailer, which is straight genius!  Also, the toys were rad too.

Notable dialogue (from the toyline): He’s no ordinary Joe!
(Yeah! Take THAT GI bland!)

Rambo III (1988)

This time there’s trouble in Afghanistan; Trautman (in his final film) was captured and it’s up to Rambo to get him back. Kurtwood Smith (Topher Grace’s dad from That 70’s Show and/or Clarence Boddicker in Robocop) describes the plot pretty well as we then, once again watch the entire movie play out in 2minutes and four seconds.  Twist ending, Rambo saves his friend and wins.  We once again get a Rambo that just shoots bullets off in every direction without aiming, but the best part of this film is we get the classic exchange…

Zaysen: Who are you?

Rambo: Your worst nightmare!

Notable dialogue:
Zaysen: One man against trained commandos… Who do you think this man is? God?
Colonel Trautman: No. God would have mercy. He won’t.
