Yes, it’s true that fans will get neither a Mandalorian nor The Rise of Skywalker panel at SDCC 2019. Disney and Lucasfilm are holding those in reserve for the D23 Expo happening next month in Anaheim. If you are planning on heading to Comic-Con, however, there will still be plenty of Star Wars content to keep you entertained. We present to you this Star Wars SDCC 2019 roundup!

The folks over at starwars.com have put together a list of all the Star Wars things you can experience in San Diego. There will be exhibits, panels, autograph sessions and more spread out over the convention’s four days.

First up is the extraordinary Sith Trooper with an exclusive Star Wars SDCC preview. You can own one of The Rise of Skywalker’s first merchandise entries as early as tomorrow! If that’s not enough, you can also visit a display of Stormtrooper armor spanning the entire saga of Star Wars films.

Panels

Among the panel highlights will be the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art: Behind the Scenes. Curators of the George Lucas museum (currently under construction in Los Angeles) will walk you through the collection. It’s bound to be impressive; it will include storyboards, costumes, and props from Star Wars and more. This Star Wars SDCC event is a must-add item for your schedule. (Thursday, July 18, 2019, 10:00 am in room 5AB.)

If it is autographs you seek, get over to the Entertainment Booth early on day one. It’s there that you’ll be able to register for a free ticket to meet the smooth scoundrel himself, Billy Dee Williams! He’ll be signing autographs on Saturday from 3:00-5:00 in Booth #2343.
