Blizzcon was just this past weekend, and they announce their first exclusive mobile game, Diablo Immortal. This game is the first IP to have a mobile-exclusive game, not including Hearthstone, which was PC first, and then mobile.

Now, it seems like Blizzard is now going to make mobile games alongside hard copy video games, and well that looks to be the case. And thanks to an interview on YouTube, it’s sounding like most of the developers at Blizzard will be making mobile games.

Blizzard Executive Producer Allen Adham and Principal Designer Wyatt Cheng were asked about where they see both Diablo Immortal, and Blizzard going, post-game announcement. And this was their response:

“In terms of Blizzard’s approach to mobile gaming, many of us over the last years have shifted from playing primarily desktop to playing many hours on mobile. And we have many of our best developers now working on new mobile titles across all of our IPs. Some of them are with external partners, like Diablo Immortal. Many of them are being developed internally only.”

Blizzard deciding to make more mobile games isn’t a surprise given this interview was released after the Diablo Immortal announcement. But currently, it doesn’t seem like they will be abandoning all PC to fully work on mobile games. But it seems more like they will be working on mobile games, while still working on PC games.
