Newt Schmander himself Eddie Redmayne has recently gone on record state that he would like to see the big hairy wizard Hagrid make an appearance in a future Fantastic Beasts.

Hagrid of course was one of the many mentors of Harry Potter, especially in the earlier movies of the franchise. Hagrid was the one who originally sought out Harry Potter in order to deliver him with the iconic message: “You’re A Wizard Harry”. So given his importance to the Wizarding World, it wouldn’t be implausible for him to show up in a future film. ]

The president for other characters appearing in this franchise has already been set thanks to a young version of Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) is playing a major role in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindlewald. Alongside that, it has also been confirmed that Nagini will also be making an appearance in the film, so it is not entirely out of the question for Hagrid to show up.

Warner Bros have got time on their hands however, they have seemingly planned five Fantastic Beasts movies to release over the coming years and we are only just arriving at the release of the second one. Warner Bros still have the time and opportunity to write Hagrid and any other pre-existing Harry Potter characters into the scripts any of the three upcoming Fantastic Beasts movies, so even if he does not appear in the next one, there is still the potential for him to show up in part 4 or part 5.

Would you like to see Hagrid show up in a future Fantastic Beasts movie? It would most certainly be awesome to dive into his past a little bit more and see what he was doing before he came into contact with The Boy Who Lived.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindlewald releases on November 16th 2018.
