Marvel Legends ‘CAPTAIN MARVEL’ Wave Indicates The Supreme Intelligence Will Appear

Marvel Studios has been awfully cagey when it comes to the identity of Jude Law’s character in Captain Marvel. While it was originally reported that he signed on in the role of Walter Lawson, the identity assumed by Mar-Vell when he served as a Kree spy beginning in Marvel Super Heroes #12, the studio’s reluctance to reveal his identity has led to some interesting theories. At this point, we only know that Law will be the Commander of the Kree Starforce, an elite team of Kree warriors that includes Carol Danvers.

Recently images surfaced of the four movie-based characters from the Captain Marvel Kree Sentry BAF wave of Marvel Legends and Law’s character was among them. Today, those figures went up for pre-order on Amazon and Marvel still cleverly avoided revealing the name of Law’s character, calling the figure Starforce Commander in the description. While they didn’t reveal the true nature of Law’s character, further inspection of the description does confirm something many fans have suspected and others have hoped would be true: the Supreme Intelligence will make an appearance in the film!

The description from Amazon.com reads:

Leader of the Starforce team, Starforce Commander is a hero among the Kree and a key asset to the Supreme Intelligence in the war against the Skrulls.

Before people get too wound up either way, we are aware that sometimes toys can be misleading (certain Lego sets, for instance) but we would also point out that the description clearly states that this figure is inspired by the film:

Fans and collectors can recreate the action-packed scenes of the Marvel Universe and Captain Marvel with this premium Starforce Commander figure, inspired by the Captain Marvel movie, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that includes Avengers: Infinity War.

If we assume this is all legitimate, it confirms the suspicions that the Supreme Intelligence would appear, suspicions that arose when Law described his character to EW as being “driven by a belief in the divine leadership of the Kree people.” In the comics, the Supreme Intelligence is a massive cyberntic organism composed of the greatest minds in the history of the Kree empire. The Kree worshiped their Supremor as a god, so Law’s description of the “divine leadership” certainly seemed to indicate the being might make an appearance and this does seem like confirmation it will. Micheal Haley Jersey
