During the D23 Expo in 2017, Walt Disney World announced that brand new attractions would be coming to the parks: “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad”, “TRON Coaster”, the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” coaster, as well as a ride based on Pixar’s Ratatouille. However, no opening dates were announced – just a hint that the rides would open before 2021. Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is October 1, 2021, coincidence? I think not.
In HUGE news, and a big thank you to WDW News Today, we may have just found out when at least one of the rides will be opening.
It seems WDW News Today has gotten their hands on some internal documents pertaining to the Ratatouille ride that is coming to the France Pavilion expansion in Epcot’s World Showcase! But first, a recap of what we already know. “Ratatouille: The Adventure from Disneyland Paris” will be based on the film of the same name. The ride itself will also be trackless. Back in December Walt Disney World filed the permits needed for the ride, but no new info was released since…until now.
According to these documents, the Ratatouille ride will be opening in “France” May 2020!
Pixar’s Ratatouille is an adorable story that follows Remy the Rat as he moves to Paris to follow his dream of becoming a chef. I’m excited to see what zany adventure this new ride will take us on!
Which ride are you ready to wait 3 hours for? Let me know in the comments below.
