Titans will be the first live-action series to debut on Warner Bros’ upcoming DC Universe streaming channel, but it already has a spin-off in the works: Doom Patrol! The group will be getting their own centric episode in Titans Season 1, titled “Doom Patrol” which will be the fifth episode. However, one of the Doom Patrol members we won’t be seeing until the spin-off is Kay Challis a.k.a Crazy Jane!

While casting is underway for Cyborg, The Chief as well as Crazy Jane, That Hashtag Show have some exclusive details on what we can expect from the live-action version of Kay. Being teased as being somewhere in her 20s, this version of Crazy Jane is aimed to have several personalities and being a bit of a Harley Quinn-esque character.

Created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case, Crazy Jane first appeared in the DC Comics world in February 1989. Debuting in #19 of Doom Patrol Volume 2, Crazy Jane has been a famous member of the group ever since. She suffers from multiple personality disorder which was caused by the Dominator gene bomb which she was exposed to in the famous Invasion! storyline. Because of that event, all of her 64 personalities have their individual super ability.

Whoever will land the role of Crazy Jane will be the first actress to ever play the character in live-action. In fact, Crazy Jane hasn’t even appeared in animation so this will be the character’s first time appearing outside of the comics. While we don’t know who will play Cyborg at this point, we at THS broke the exclusive news last week that Kelsey Grammer is being eyed for the role of The Chief, who will be played by Bruno Bichir in Titans at first.

“DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC’s most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities—but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence—and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.”
