When it cam to the Transformers films I honestly only liked the first one and I didn’t even watch the last Two, so you I was a bit mixed when word was a Bumblebee film was in the works. Then came word that John Cena was going to be one of the main stars and I became curious to say the least. Today Paramount pictures dropped the official trailer for BumbleBee and I have to be honest with you, It’s really good! This film is set in the 80’s and you can tell. Bee truly looks like the old yellow VW toy I used to always play with. Not the newer looking sleeker Bumblebee that we got used to in the Michael Bay films. Oh yeah did I mention Michael Bay did not direct this?! Travis Knight took on the latest AutoBot film in the franchise. I really hope this film breathes air back into these AutoBots. From the looks of it they are on the right track.
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
Bumblebee has a December 21, 2018 release date.
