Audition Videos for ‘JESSICA JONES’ Season 3 Emerge, Hint at Roles

Early in May, we came across a set of character breakdowns for the third season of Netflix and Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Among the characters were:

[ELLIOTT]Mid 30s-early 40s, male, open ethnicity. Must be over 5’11. A charismatic gambler and alcoholic. Attractive, quick-witted and dry. His edgy charm comes through even in the direst circumstances. SERIES REGULAR – ONE YEAR DEAL

AND

[ZELDA]27-31, female, African American, strong, smart and driven. A rising star in her profession with the ambition and talent to propel her to the top one day. She’s earthy, beautiful, supportive and fiercely protective of those she loves. SERIES REGULAR – MULTI-YEAR DEAL

Often times, the audition tapes for these roles find their way on to Vimeo, a totally free site with publicly searchable database, and, if you know where to look, you can find them. Last night we came across auditions for both “ELLIOT” and “ZELDA” and were able to glean a couple of minor things from them.

From what we can gather, it seems that “Elliot” may be working alongside Jessica in the upcoming season. Though the two seem to be having a dispute, “Elliot” seems like a decent guy who, despite is addictions to gambling and alcohol, views himself as one of the good guys. While his addictions give him some common ground with Jessica, they also make him sound a bit like Dennis Dunphy, aka D-Man, but there’s no telling if that’s an accurate guess.

From “ZELDA”‘s audition, we learn that she is in a close relationship with someone and that both of them appear to be hard-working and dedicated to one another.

Unfortunately, neither of these videos gives away enough to get a true read on who these characters might be or whether they are pre-existing comic book characters or newly created for the show, like so many of the leads in the first two seasons of Jessica Jones have been. Maybe getting more eyes on them will lead to someone else out there figuring out just who these characters are. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section; we’d love to hear from you!
