Now take this rumor with a grain of salt since it sounds a little far fetched and I’ve heard them all. After the hate that The Last Jedi received from hardcore fans, Disney has been trying to pick up the pieces and try to make things right, and I’m not sure why. I loved the Last Jedi and everything I loved about it others hated. And 5 months later that anger that those damn Star Wars haters had for The Last Jedi has rolled over to SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. Well with the next Star Wars film not coming till December 2018 a little rumor came out today that might have possibly revealed a working title for Episode IX and surprise, surprise fans hate it.
It’s said that the working title is of some significance. Other titles in the past meant something, for example Solo was originally Red Cups and A New Hope was Blue Harvest so you can always tell something with the working title. Star Wars news site Fantha Tracks has revealed every working title in the modern era this week and it gave a hint for Episode IX.
It said: “Fantha Tracks can now exclusively reveal that the working title for Episode IX has been changed to ‘trIXie.’
“Research by Fantha Tracks has uncovered documentary proof of the name change, the same research methods and public sources were used by the same team to uncover the production names of every Disney era Star Wars film to date.”
The Roman numerical number 9 is a clever touch but some fans are convinced that the name points towards Andy Serkis and thus Snoke. One said: “Tricksy was a phrase used by Gollum in LOTR….Snoke is back?”
Again this is probably crap and a little far fetched. I could be wrong, we won’t know till more than likely after the summer what the true working title is. Now what would this rumor be with out a little fan backlash. Fans already took to Twitter and made their list of working titles and some are actually pretty funny.
EPISODE 9 FAN SUGGESTIONS:
“Should be…Star Wars IX – The Last Hope.”
“The title is Ep 9 The Last Star Wars..”
“Episode IX The Final Nail.”
“Star Wars Episode IX: Damage Control.”
“Episode 9 revenge of the fans.”
“Episode Nein’ is actually the working title.”
“Episode 9: No One Cares Anymore.”
