SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND: The Mandarin Production Of Beauty And The Beast Is Premiering on June 14th!

Shanghai Disneyland’s production of Beauty And The Beast is set to take the stage at the Walt Disney Grand Theater in Disneytown on June 14th; tickets for the production are going on sale May 24th.

Following a 6 month search across China, more than 80 cast and crew members got selected to bring this production to life, and the world-class ensemble of gifted performers include both well-known and undiscovered Chinese talents of all ages, as well as some international talent.

Audiences will see new faces and recognize some familiar faces from the resort’s latest hit, The Lion King. The talented cast includes YaoRong Guo as Belle, DouEr Sun as Beast, Yang Liu as Gaston, Meng Xu as Mrs. Potts, HaiFei Mao as Lumiere, Pai Peng as Cogsworth, Zhi Zhang as LeFou, XueLiang Ma as Maurice, ShaoYu Li as Madame de la Grande Bouche (Mrs. Wardrobe) and YaYu Chen as Babette.

The show features award-winning music from Disney legend Alan Menken, who was in Shanghai earlier this year and met the cast. The original Broadway creative team is also in Shanghai working with the local cast and crew to help bring this story to life. Tickets will be available through the Shanghai Disneyland website.
