Ever since Pixar Pier was announced and construction began, fan of the restaurants “Ariel’s Grotto” and the “Cove Bar” have been wondering what would be happening with their favorite food from under the sea.
Back in February, Disney announced that the beloved restaurant and bar would be joining the Pixar theme as the “Lamplight Lounge”, a California gastro-pub, and still serve the delicious lobster nachos, secret menu drinks, and more!
Well, here’s the “and more.”
The Disneyland Resort food and beverage team has created delcious menu items including a carne asada roll with roasted Fresno chili salsa; potato skins with brown butter-caper yogurt, smoked paprika ai?oli and Manchego cheese; spinach salad with warm wild mushrooms, soft poached egg, charred onion vinaigrette and shiitake “bacon” served with blue cheese toast; chicken sandwich with spicy chili glaze, vinegar slaw and pineapple butter on a toasted Amish bun; and creamy PB&J roll served with a flower pot of veggies with hummus and fresh fruit. As well as, specialty cocktails aptly named “Over Budget” and “The Last Word.”
All of these new menu items look and sound incredible ::wink:: In the infamous works of Fat Bastard, “Get in my belly!”
