If I told you back in early January that SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY would have the second biggest pre sale ticket sales of all time would you believe me? Well guess what Solo quietly ruled the pre sale record over the weekend beating the biggest winner Black Panther but still closely behind Avengers Infinity War. Movie ticket service Fandango announced Saturday that Solo: A Star Wars Story sold double the number of presale tickets for Marvel’s other 2018 big hit, Black Panther. It’s not just Fandango putting up big numbers either. Deadline says the smaller Atom Tickets had their second-largest hour of ticket presales after Avengers: Infinity War when Solo tickets went on sale. So it sounds like all those stupid and sad boycotts from deranged “fans” out there aren’t making much of a dent.
With two weeks left till the movie releases, odds are Solo will keep rolling in pre sales. This favors our article from last week that estimated SOLO having a HUGE Memorial Day Weekend, bringing in an estimated $170 million dollars. If those numbers are correct it will put Solo in a select group oF Star Wars films that have brought in over $150 Million in its opening weekend.
