You read that right, folks. According to WDW News today, when the Pirates of the Caribbean ride returns June 8th, 2018 not only will there be the new “Redd” Auctioneer scene, but the ride itself will offer both MaxPass and FastPass return options.
For those unfamiliar with the MaxPass/FastPass return system, Disney Parks offer guests an option of receiving a return time (until the times run out) in order to enjoy other attractions/shows/shopping in the parks instead of standing and waiting in line. Paper FastPass’s are free, while MaxPass is mobile and cost $10 per person per day.
Disneyland is offering the MaxPass/FastPass option in order to help relieve lines for the attraction in the coming months and the foreseeable future. The location of FastPass distribution is unknown, but the idea of the machines sharing a spot with the Haunted Mansion doesn’t seem too wild.
What do you think? Are you excited for MaxPass/FastPass to make its way to the Pirates of the Caribbean or do you think it’ll make things a bigger cluster duck? Make sure to comment below and let me know!
