Would you believe me if I told you that the new Han Solo film SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY will be the exact runtime as The Force Awakens? Well, believe it!
With the official premiere taking place at the Cannes film festival in France on May 15, a mere ten days before it’s worldwide released, more info on the film was released on the Cannes website.
At 2 hours and 15 minutes, this time contradicts the time we wrote about earlier in the year which we thought was 2 hours and 23 minutes.
Now was it done on purpose that the last and first time we Han Solo would happen to be the same run times? Maybe, maybe not.
Solo will be almost 20 minutes less than The Last Jedi, so we won’t have to worry about SOLO beating the longest Star Wars time ever.
Here’s a little chart to compare Solo with the other STAR WARS films.
A New Hope: 125 minutes (2 hours and 5 mins)
The Empire Strikes Back: 127 minutes (2 hours and 7 minutes)
Return of the Jedi: 136 minutes (2 hours and 16 minutes)
The Phantom Menace: 136 minutes (2 hours and 16 minutes)
Attack of the Clones: 142 minutes (2 hours and 22 minutes)
Revenge of the Sith: 140 minutes (2 hours and 20 minutes)
The Force Awakens: 135 minutes (2 hours and 15 minutes)
Rogue One: 133 minutes (2 hours and 13 minutes)
The Last Jedi: 152 minutes (2 hours and 32 minutes)
Solo: Star Wars Story: 135 minutes (2 hours and 15 minutes)
