We’re two months away from the highly awaited release for the second season of Luke Cage on Netflix and today we were treated to a scene from one of the episodes. The second season of Luke Cage joins the already aired second season of Jessica Jones and the upcoming third season of Daredevil which is set to air at the end of this year. Details on the second season have been scarce but what we know is that it takes place right after the first season ends with Cage being a newly founded hero on the streets of New York.
In the clip below Luke Cage is partaking a what looks to be like a NFL type street combine. His mental and physical strength is tested. He’s trying to show off his ability to not only himself to the rest of the world which seems like he’s finally came to the conclusion that he doesn’t want to hide anymore. I sincerely hope that this season doesn’t suffer from the ill fated slump that many shows go thru now days. I loved the first half of season one but then mid way thru it became boring and not fun anymore. The music was still there but it was still missing something.
Check out the synopsis for season two below:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
Marvel’s Luke Cage premiers Friday, June 22nd on Netflix.
