Yesterday it was announced that Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons is joining Zac Efron’s Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Over the weekend, the Baywatch star shared a chilling new photo from the set of the upcoming movie based on notorious serial killer Bundy, who Efron portrays in the film. And honestly, the resemblance is uncanny and creepy.
I have to tell you, from someone who’s read books and watched plenty of Bundy footage, I’m seriously impressed by the resemblance.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile explores the horrifying story of Bundy through the perspective of his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by the beautiful Lily Collins in the film.
Theodore “Ted” Bundy was an Americal serial killer, rapist and necrophile who, during the 1970s, assaulted and killed dozens of young girls and women.
In the late ’80s, shortly before his execution at the age of 42 at the Florida State Prison on January 24, 1989, Bundy confessed to murdering 30 people in seven states between 1974 and 1978.
The last time there was a film based on killer was all the way back in 1986, when NCIS’s Mark Harmon played Bundy.
Told through the perspective of Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy’s longtime girlfriend who went years denying the accusations against Bundy, but ultimately turned him into the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly murders.
EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE is directed by Joe Berlinger from a script by Michael Werwie and stars John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Kaya Scodelario, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Jim Parsons, and Zac Efron as Ted Bundy.
