Hold onto your firebolts kids! This month at New York Toy Fair, JAKKS Pacific and Warner Brothers have announced that they will be releasing new technologically enhanced, interactive training wands that allow you to competitively cast spells with your wizard and muggle friends alike!
“We’re thrilled to partner with JAKKS Pacific to bring innovative technology and interactive play to the toy aisle and fans of the Wizarding World,” said Julian Montoya, Senior Vice President, Global Toys for WBCP. “This new collection of interactive wands…will excite Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans and inspire creative storytelling to extend their favorite moments from the books and films.”
The wands are fitted with a motion sensor that tracks the movements of the spellcaster as they learn how to cast and master 11 different spells. However, Avada Kedavra is not an option (Sorry Death Eaters).
On top of the basic wizard training mode, the Harry Potter Wizard Training Wand will have 4 additional modes that let you challenge other wizards!
Spell Practice: two players race to correctly cast spells the fastest.
Dumbledore’s Army: Wizard Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Wizard Tag: sort of like Laser Tag, but you’re trying to out magic your opponent by casting spells and slowly decreasing their wands power.
The wands will be available later this year in in the style of Harry, Dumbledore, and Voldemort’s wand design; each sold separately for $24.99
