February is here and it’s time for the annual Disneyland Ticket Price Hike. Disneyland is no stranger to raising daily ticket prices and/or the price of their annual pass options while blaming the increase on demand, crowds, parking…Pixar Pier…giant new hotel in Downtown Disney…Star Wars Land. They have to pay for it all somehow right?

Here is what you can expect when going to purchase a brand new annual pass or if you decide to renew your old one.

Disney California Select Passport: 2017 – $339 / 2018 – $369 = $30 Increase (8.8%)

Disney Deluxe Passport: 2017 – $619 / 2018 – $729 = $110 (17%)

Disney Signature Passport: 2017 – $849 / 2018 – $999 = $150 (17.6%)

Disney Signature Plus Passport: 2017 – $1,049 / 2018 $1149 = $100 (9.5%)

Not only didn’t Annual Passports increase, but single day/park hopper tickets did as well.

One park tickets:

Value: no increase – $97 to $97

Regular: increase from $110 to $117

Peak: increase from $124 to $135

Park hopper tickets:

Value: decrease from $157 $147

Regular: increase from $165 to $167

Peak: increase from $174 to $185

In addition to the price per ticket/AP increase, Disney is eliminating its renewal discount given to those who would renew their annual passes early.

Compared to last year’s increased, these are significantly higher. How will the increase affect Disneyland profits and crowds? Only time will tell.

Walt Disney World also increased their daily and annual pass ticket prices. However, they were much more gentle.

One Park Tickets:

Value Tickets: increase from $107 to $109.

Regular Tickets: increase from $115 to $119

Peak Tickets: increase from $124 to $129

Park Hopper Tickets:

Value: $162 to $164

Regular: $170 to $174

Peak: $174 to $184.

Annual Passports:

Silver Pass: increased from $419 to $439

Gold Pass: increased from $559 to $589

Platinum Pass: increased from $779 to $849

Platinum Plus Pass: will increase  from $869 to $949.

Platinum Plus Pass for Florida Residents will increase from $769 to $829.

Disney Premier Passport:

increased from $1,439 to $1,579.

“Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a one-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts to spread attendance throughout the year and ensure all guests have a magical experience no matter when they visit,” Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger told The Orlando Sentinel.
