Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a box office smash just hitting $1 Billion worldwide. Now, fanatics are waiting for the DIGITAL, DVD, Blu-ray and the 4K release, which is expected to include some unseen footage and deleted scenes from the movie.
We will not have to wait long, according to a report by The Digital Bits. The tentative release date of the DVD, Blu-ray and the 4K UHD is March 27. Disney or Lucasfilm are yet to make an official announcement.
We know that the original cut of Star Wars: The Last Jedi was much longer, and director Rian Johnson has already said that the Blu-ray release will be chock full of deleted scenes, with The Digital Bits reporting that there will be 20 minutes worth this material. Rian Johnson even said that some of his favorite sequences were cut from the film.
The March release date also raises the possibility that their might be a sneak peek at Solo: A Star Wars Story in the special features. I have to imagine that we will get a trailer before then, but having a little something on The Last Jedi Blu-ray would be pretty cool.
We’ll keep you updated when we get the final, official word on the Star Wars: Last Jedi‘s home video release.
