It’s only Five months until the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story and fans everywhere are still wondering when we will get our first official look. Now, this film had its issues. With only weeks to go in filming, Disney let go directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller and brought in Ron Howard to finish the film.
Star Wars Legacy have tweeted a rumored release date for the movie’s trailer this week. On their Twitter account, they wrote: “Rumor: #SOLO teaser to drop January 12 on GMA.”
GMA is one of Disney’s preferred platforms for premiering new movie trailers. According to Screen Rant the first teaser trailer for Rogue One, Lucasfilm’s first Star Wars spin-off, was released through the show in 2016.

After the tweet, Ron Howard was asked if this would indeed be the date. Howard said “Hang in there. Now that ep 8 is out there it won’t be long.”
