What must come as no surprise to anyone who’s been following Channing Tatum’s Gambit film, the movie just suffered yet another setback. Gore Verbinski who came on to direct after the departure of Doug Liman, who took over for Rupert Wyatt, has now left as well. No specific reason for his departure was given, only that it was amicable, according to Deadline.
The movie has also been shifted to a June release for reportedly unrelated reasons. Lizzy Caplan was recently cast in an unknown role and Channing Tatum doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. We’ll keep you updated as more news comes out, but that’s it for now.
