The sequel to last year’s well-received Spider-Man: Homecoming is starting to take shape. Our friends at MCU Exchange were able to pull together some information about the crew of the upcoming film and now it’s our turn!
Pre-production is underway on the film and we have details about when and where the film will shoot. Keeping in mind that start dates for principal photography can be changed at any time for any number of reasons, we’ve been informed that the Jon Watts’ helmed sequel is set to begin filming on May 28th!
The film, which has been said by Kevin Feige to take place as Peter Parker heads to his junior year of high school in the aftermath of the battle with Thanos, will be Marvel Studios first post-Infinity War film. Interestingly enough, it seems that Mr. Parker may be spending a semester abroad as we’ve also learned that filming will take place in either Germany or the UK! The Germany location was first reported by OmegaUnderground. Of course, fans will remember that it was at Germany’s Leipzig/Halle airport that Spidey introduced himself to the MCU’s heroes, so this would mark a return to European soil for star Tom Holland. Interestingly enough, this information lines up with some speculation and rumors that have been circling for some time now, so we’ll be eager to see how this plays out.
