Reported by comicbook.com, with Ant-Man and the Wasp set to debut next summer, it’s set to give fans a unique entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And according to the film’s director Peyton Reed, it will be including some interesting fight styles.
Reed recently spoke with Empire Magazine and had this to explain, “This is really her coming out party as a hero. Her power set is fantastic. She and Scott both shrink, but there the flying, and the fighting style of The Wasp is different from Ant-Man’s.”
Now, the fans have been clamoring for Wasp to officially make her debut as a hero. This is including the fact she is connected to the Avengers through Marvel Comics. Now Evangeline Lily, who is playing Wasp, has teased the fans with the first look of her in costume to her training regimen for the MCU.
With the release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp coming up soon, the fans have gradually begun to find out more about this film, which is being called Marvel’s first rom-com. But part of that is thanks to Peyton Reed, who also hinted that this film is connected to Captain America: Civil War.
Peyton Reed had this to say, “The events of Captain America: Civil War gave us something clear, which is: what was Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne’s reaction to Scott having taken this technology out into the world in Civil War? We had a lot of fun playing around with that. And we play with size and scale a lot. I love the idea of Ant-Man.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to debut on July 6th, 2018. And with this news, the fans are excited to see Wasp for the first time.
