SUMMONERS WAR Crowns Victor At Inaugural 2017 World Arena Championship

Fierce several months of worldwide competition ended over the weekend as Tomato won the 2017 Summoners War Arena Championship beating out Psy! in a best of five series, earning a $20,000 top prize and distinction as the world’s best summoner. Hosted by Com2us, the Summoners War Arena Championship took place at the Microsoft Theater where more than 3,000 fans cheered on the 16 individuals who won their individual regional qualifiers in major cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo.
In addition to the onstage competition, fans onsite had the opportunity to experience the Summoners War universe as it came to life throughout the day. Ranging from troupes of cosplayers to in-depth experiential activations in a mini-theme park setting, the event transcended the notion of a traditional esports event and provided consumers a comprehensive entertainment experience for the weekend.
