J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings novels have already seen a successful adaptation by Peter Jackson, but according to Variety, Warner Bros. Television may not be done with the classic novels. According to the story, the Tolkien estate and Warner Bros. Television are in early negotiations with Amazon to bring Gandalf, Gollum, and Frodo to the small screen. Again, the talks are still very much in the early stages and no deal has yet been reached.
This news is sure to be polarizing to most fans and the geek debates shall run rampant on social media. We must bear in mind that when the classic novels were announced as a film hardcore Tolkien fans most certainly had a problem with this, but after Jackson’s run on the trilogy seems to have won over fans and critics alike.
