Director Josh Boone Wants Karma And Warlock For THE NEW MUTANTS Sequel

If you saw yesterday’s trailer for The New Mutants then you know that director, Josh Boone lived up to his word and made the spin-off superhero film a horror flick, which continues the trend to lead the mutants into another territory yet again. The gamble for 20th Century Fox has recently paid off with successes like Deadpool and Logan. If The New Mutants can follow suit then it looks like Fox could have another hit franchise on their hands.

Boone said that he pitched Fox a New Mutants trilogy and while speaking with IGN it seems like he has a plan in place for the direction he wants to see The New Mutants take.

“There’s some things I can’t talk about. I can just say it is connected to and a part of the X-Men universe, and will continue to be a part of the X-Men universe and will be a part of that as it opens up in the next movies and all that.

Every video complains online about characters that aren’t in it right now. I will say we’re going to introduce new characters in the next movie as well. Characters like Karma and Warlock, and all that will be in future movies.”

The New Mutants definitely looks unique in tone and style and fitting Warlock into future films would definitely make it stand out even more. We’re hoping this film turns the comic book film genre on its head! Who would you guys like to see in The New Mutants? Leave a message in the comments below.

The New Mutants opens in theatres April 13, 2018.
