Marvel Legacy 1
Marvel Legacy 1 opens with the first Avengers, Odin, Phoenix, Iron-Fist, Black Panther, and others fighting an unstoppable force, an infected celestial, at the dawn of mankind.
The 1,000,000 B.C. Avengers fail to kill the celestial and so they trap it underground until present day when key persons are having strange dreams of their past counterparts. The story’s narrator is discovered to be Valeria Richards as she and her brother set course for Earth.
Valeria’s narration is about Legacy. We see different Avengers around the world as they consider their own Legacy.
Loki plots to steal the blue infinity gem from S.H.I.E.L.D. but is thwarted by, Wolverine? We see his adamantium tomb open in Canada and his living, breathing body at a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility. We aren’t told how Wolverine gets out, but he stops Loki and takes the infinity gem. Loki visits the site of the trapped celestial, saying the infinity gem was no loss, he just needs a power source.
Oh, and Tony Stark’s comatose body disappears.
Marvel Legacy is jampacked with things happening. A lot of people are returning as a celestial, a force that powers like Odin and the Phoenix could not defeat is released. I only touched on a few major events in this issue, but there’s plenty more. There is a lot of story and pieces moving this issue.
