It has been over three decades since Return of the Jedi, so what has Luke been up to over all this time?
The Force Awakens opened with him in exile, only making the briefest of cameos right at the end of the movie.
With The Last Jedi’s first teaser trailer, Luke was seen saying: “It’s time for the Jedi to end.”
The character has clearly been through a lot and now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh, who claims he has a source at Pinewood Studios, has revealed supposed new details on Hamill’s older Luke.
In his new YouTube video, he said: “Luke Skywalker’s character was inspired by the characteristics of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and some original elements in the mix.
“The Caretakers were the previous owners of the walking stick that Luke now owns and is said to have once belonged to an ancient Jedi.
“Force-back visions will tell Luke’s dark past and how he obtained many of the ancient Jedi artefacts.
“Luke does have a past with Snoke and Rian Johnson explores this lightly in the film and [this] will be told in more detail in Star Wars Episode IX.”
Zeroh added: “There will be an explanation of why Luke’s hand is all mechanical in The Last Jedi.
“Luke’s backpack came from Lor San Tekka and will be told so in further detail in the upcoming The Legends of Luke Skywalker book.”
