Last week we learned that the Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff was in the development by Lucasfilm but we may have our first hint at where the majority of the action in the film will be taking place. Our friends over at Omega Underground are reporting that the working title of the film is “Joshua Tree,” which could point to Tatooine. This is a nod to the Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California that has looks of desert terrain.
We’re not 100% sure what Joshua Tree is a reference to, but Tatooine would be the best guess. It’s also possible that this could be a shooting location for the film with a lot of productions moving to California like Captain Marvel and Transformers‘ spin-off, Bumblebee. There’s still a lot of questions to be answered from the Star Wars Anthology film like will Ewan McGregor return to the project? We’ll just have to wait and see. What do you guys think “Joshua Tree” means for the Obi Wan spin-off? Leave a message in the comments below.
