“What’s this?! What’s this?!” In an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter, Manga publisher TokyoPop has secured the license for the first ever ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ comic book project “Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey Home”. The project will follow Zero, Jack Skellington’s ghostly dog, who gets lost in Christmas Town as well as expand on Sandy Claws’ hometown. More information will be released in upcoming months.
“The format of the project will be unusual for the publisher; it will initially be serialized as full-color single issues released to comic book stores, before being collected in two different formats simultaneously, in full-color trade paperbacks and black and white pocket-sized manga volumes,” THR notes.
The manga written by DJ Milky with art from Studio DICE (who also did the manga for “Beauty And The Beast”) will be released Spring of 2018.
