ASSASSIN’S CREED & FINAL FANTASY XV Crossover Announced At Gamescon 2017

Arriving later this month Square Enix and Ubisoft will be teaming up to bring a unique collaboration from the worlds of Assassin’s Creed and Final Fantasy XV! On August 30th players will be given an Assassin’s outfit for Noctis if they’ve collected the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event in Final Fantasy XV. The day after, free Assassin’s Festival DLC will be made available for FFVX. With the DLC, we’ll be seeing the town of Lestalum offering new activities, features, and themed items. Also in the new content, we can expect to see Noctis explore more in the style and use some of the abilities of an assassin from Assassin’s Creed.

IGN reached out to Ubisoft for a comment and they had nothing to announce in regards to the crossover or if we’ll be seeing any elements of Final Fantasy in Assassin’s Creed Origins. According to the Ubi Blog, the collaboration was made roughly three years ago after an informal meeting between the two dev teams. Leading up to today’s announcement, the two teams up easter eggs for the other game in their respective trailers.
