At some point or another, the character of Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader has appeared in every Star Wars film and fans have been wondering if the iconic villain would be showing up in the untitled Han Solo spin-off film. We know that the film will take place before the events of A New Hope, so it is possible, albeit far from confirmed. According to StarWarsNews.net, Disney, and Lucasfilm may have found a way to insert the Sith Lord into the troubled film.
Spencer Wilding was the actor that physically portrayed Darth Vader in Rogue One and has recently canceled his appearance at Fandom Fest in Kentucky. The website left the following message to fans:
Spencer Wilding will be unable to attend as he will be filming the newest film in the Star Wars Universe. Spencer will be coming back next year.
The only Star Wars film shooting right now is the untitled Han Solo film, so we can assume that Wilding will be returning to the universe. It would make sense for the actor to return as Darth Vader since he’s already done the role but this is far from confirmed. Wilding has portrayed various characters across many different properties so he could be portraying somebody entirely new.
The untitled Han Solo film is set to be released on May 25, 2018.
