The trailer begins with the self-playing piano with the music sheet splattered with blood. Me thinks that the robots have been busy.
Somewhere in the park we see Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) standing on the bank of a river staring down at a dead tiger. I have a feeling we will be going into some park crossovers. Considering they introduced the Samurai World last season, this seems like a good guess. Perhaps a Safari World? Or something like that? The sky is the limit.
We then see Maeve (Thandie Newton) next to a stranger calmly observing what has happened through the park’s internal control center. There are all the dead bodies, so obviously things went down. Again, these were all things that were predicted to happen in this upcoming season after the events of last season’s finale.
Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) is on horseback and furiously gunning down other people, presumably human guests of the park. She is mad and definitely letting all of us know it.
Most importantly, the trailer ends with Teddy aka the Man in Black (Ed Wood) covered in blood. At first he looks like he is in a state of shock, but then a smile forms. He obviously survived the dinner party from the finale. But now he is all game for the biggest development in the park’s story.
Westworld won’t return until sometimes in 2018.
