Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures released a brand new Thor: Ragnarok trailer at San Diego Comic Con yesterday and it definitely is showing us a different side to the Thor movies.
Despite what ought to be a very serious plot line (Ragnarok marking the end of the Norse gods and all that jazz), the new trailer comes across very comedic. May I say almost like a buddy comedy flick? I am not entirely sure if this will work in the god’s favor, but this trailer cut and seemingly new dash of humor may serve the god financially. Who knows?
The official synopsis is below:
In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladitorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
The cast of Thor: Ragnarok features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as the Incredible Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Cate Blanchett joins as Hela, Tessa Thompson joins as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, and Karl Urban as Skurge.
Thor: Ragnarok will smash its way into theaters on November 3, 2017. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.
