Live-Action HALO Series Is Still In The Works By Steven Spielberg And Microsoft

4 years ago we got the exciting announcement that Steven Spielberg and Microsoft would be bringing one of the most popular gaming franchises to Showtime for a live-action series. Since then, there has been little to no movement on the development of the project. However, Microsoft is confirming that the project is still in the works.

Ar12gaming asked Microsoft if the project was still in development or not since we haven’t had any substantial news in a long while. “Progress on the Halo Television Series continues,” a Microsoft Spokesperson and representative of 343 Industries confirmed to AR12Gaming. “We want to ensure we’re doing this the right way together with a team of creative partners (Steven Spielberg and Showtime) that can help us build the best Halo series that fans expect and deserve. We have no further details to share at this time,” Microsoft said in a statement.

After the release of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, it was speculated that Microsoft was a little hesitant on the live-action series after it was panned by fans. The company could be rethinking their strategy with the live-action series.
