Adam West, Television’s Former BATMAN, Passes Away At 88

We’re sad to report that actor Adam West has died at the age of 88, following a short battle with leukemia. His family has issued the following statement. “Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero.

West’s career has spanned over many decades appearing in over fifty films and television shows. He is most recognized as portraying Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman, on the very popular ’66 television series Batman. He’s since reprised the iconic role for animated films Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders and the upcoming highly anticipated sequel Batman vs. Two-Face. West has also done a ton of voiceover work on a variety of projects like Family Guy, Sponge-Bob Squarepants, Chicken Little, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Scooby-Doo!, The Simpsons, Chicken Little, Rugrats, and Batman the Animated Series.

West is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Our deepest condolences to the West family.
