Marvel’s INHUMANS: Official Look At Black Bolt, Medusa, & The Royal Family

Last November Marvel announced an Inhumans television show to everyone’s surprise. Originally, the story revolving around Black Bolt and his Royal family were set to be on Marvel Studios film slate. Entertainment Weekly has released our first look at the principal cast together along with a lengthy interview with The Inhumans showrunner Scott Buck (Iron Fist) who share a lot of new details on the highly anticipated project.

It’s been confirmed the series will take place on both Earth and the moon city of Attilan. It also looks like Attilan won’t be on Earth when the series starts, so it looks like we’re going to the moon. We’ve also known that the family drama series would center on the internal power struggle between Black Bolt and his brother Maximus, but it looks like the show will stray away from the source material a bit as they had room to develop the characters further.

Pictured from left-to-right: Eme Ikwuakor (Concussion) as Gorgon, Ken Leung (Rush Hour) as Karnak, Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan (Smallville) as Medusa, Isabelle Cornish (Puberty Blues) as Crystal, and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus.

The series will exclusively debut in IMAX screens on September 1 with a special two-episode premiere and will then run for two weeks before making its way to ABC on September 26 for an eight-episode first season. “The first two episodes feel like a movie, because [using IMAX] gave us a lot more freedom and encouraged us to think bigger than we would if it was just a normal network show.
