Rosario Dawson has made quite the reputation for herself in geek pop culture with appearances in films like The Lego Batman Movie, the Sin City films, Men in Black II, and her television appearances in Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist on Marvel’s Netflix series. One franchise she hasn’t been in is the Star Wars Universe, though she was our number one choice to play Ahsoka Tano on our Countdown.
Last February Dawson created a lot of buzz on Twitter saying she’d love to play Ahsoka Tano. This sparked an online campaign lobbying her for the role. Dawson was on Good Morning America and addressed her desire to play the character.

GMA co-host Michael Strahan did point out that Star Wars follows Dawson on Twitter. She responded by putting her hands together to pray, then crossed her fingers, “I know! I think it’s a good sign! Internet help me out!”, Dawson replied.
Many would love to see Dawson in the role because of her charisma, striking resemblance to the character and the geek cred she already carries with her. After Dawson’s tweet about her desire to play Ahsoka graphic artist BossLogic created some amazing fan-art of her as the character.

The Ahsoka Tano movie doesn’t seem to be completely out of the question seeing how well Rogue One performed at the box office and the large list of spin-off movies in to come. Dawson would be a great choice for Ahsoka so we can only hope Disney is listening.
